This position is structured in two levels to provide a means of distinguishing experience and expertise among technicians. Duties of the two levels are somewhat similar in terms of tasks, but differ in complexity and depth of knowledge and responsibility to the Health Care Services' teams. Progression through these levels is accomplished by completing time and training requirements established by department management.
Bring your knowledge of health care services to the following role: - Assist the department, professional staff, and their assigned teams in responding to the needs of physicians, providers, members and various in-house personnel.
- Provide the technical and administrative support necessary to meet Health Care Services' and corporate objectives; Some of Health Care Services' main objectives are: delivering clinical quality care, facilitating cost savings, and achieving accreditation.

Duties: |
Combine your office experience and excellent knowledge of medical terminology with the following skills: - High School diploma
- Completion of Level I responsibilities, or equivalent experience, at a core or above performance level for at least 1 year
- 3 years of office or equivalent experience, in a medical office or health related environment
- Type 35 wpm with 95percent accuracy
- Proficient PC skills
- Excellent working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and coding
- Proven ability to respond to inquiries with tact, diplomacy and patience while working in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Proven ability to learn and retain new or evolving information and procedures
- Team player
- Proven ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters
- Successful experience in communicating effectively with employees, medical professionals and members both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, punctuation and proof-reading
- Successful experience in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and appropriately prioritizing workload
- Ability to research and utilize internal resources that are available
